We are giving a brief public presentation about the newly-formed Eco Travel Network  as part of the launch of  'Community Energy Wales' at the Hay Festival 2.30pm Friday 8th June.

We hope there will be an opportunity for us to introduce John Griffiths AM, Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development, and Peter Davies, Commissioner for Sustainable Futures to Thierry-the-Twizy and maybe even for them to have a (somewhat damp) Twizzle around the town.

"Community Energy Wales, CEW, is a new organisation which aims to put sustainable energy at the heart of communities across Wales, by inspiring, empowering, and influencing people, policies and practices across Wales. We will seek to provide the necessary practical, policy and financial support for communities to develop their own renewable energy generation and energy efficiency schemes.

On Friday, Community Energy Wales will present its vision for communities to become stronger, more financially resilient, enterprising and self-reliant through community owned/operated renewable energy installations and energy efficiency schemes. You will also have an opportunity to hear of experiences from community energy groups in Wales about their journey towards sustainable energy practices."
