Callow Marsh Renault has been in touch to say that our ETN fleet of 5 Twizys has arrived! Here they are! Thierry delighted that he's no longer "the only Twizy in the village".
The plan is to collect, livery and deliver them to the first signed up ETN members during the week of 25th June so the scheme can start, as promised, by July 1st. We have only one subsidised membership slot left for a tourist business within the Brecon Beacons National Park that has a reasonably high visitor footfall. We are currently in discussion with a couple of interested businesses but please get in touch if you would like to explore this option.
Businesses within the National Park are very welcome to join the scheme later at the full membership price.
The ETN will also be offering 2 Twizys on short term leases to local businesses (e.g. a week or month) during the season if local camping or caravan sites or B&B's would like to experiment with renting the vehicles to their visiting guests.
The ETN will be collecting detailed usage and revenue data from all members during the research phase of the scheme.
In the next 2 weeks, we also hope to get in touch with local businesses who would like to join our informal, electric charging network. If you run a cafe, pub, activity centre or attraction in the Brecon Beacons National Park, we'd be delighted to include you as a charging point on our maps so our Twizzling visitors know about interesting places to visit where they can enjoy a drink or meal, hire a canoe or bike or look around an attraction or enjoy a walk whilst their Twizy gets a welcome top up. All that is required is space to park a Twizy within extension cable reach of a 13 amp socket. The Twizy takes about 30-40p of electricity to recharge.
